Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 8 July 2026. These Terms govern your use of the SafHandle interface for Safrochain.
This page is provided for transparency. It is not a substitute for reading the on-chain contract or seeking independent legal advice.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the SafHandle website, interfaces, demos, or related documentation (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to the SafHandle web application operated as an interface to the Safrochain network. They do not replace any separate licenses that apply to open-source code (for example the MIT License for SDK or contract repositories).
2. Nature of the Service
SafHandle is a non-custodial interface to an on-chain CosmWasm name registry on Safrochain. When you reserve, transfer, or release a name, your wallet signs and broadcasts a transaction directly to the network. We do not hold, custody, or control your keys, funds, or names on your behalf.
The smart contract logic - including fees, ownership rules, and reserved names - is defined and enforced on-chain. The Service may display information from public RPC endpoints and help you prepare transactions; it is not a bank, broker, exchange, or fiduciary.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including those related to digital assets and sanctions.
Connecting a wallet does not create a user account with us. Your relationship with wallet software (Keplr, Leap, Cosmostation, or others) is governed by those providers’ own terms and privacy policies.
4. Names, fees & on-chain actions
Registering a .safname requires paying the fee configured on the contract (plus network gas). Fees are paid in the chain’s native denomination and are typically routed according to the contract's governance settings.
- Ownership of a registered name is recorded on-chain and follows the contract rules (including one name per wallet, where applicable).
- Transfer and release are irreversible once confirmed by the network. Double-check addresses before signing.
- Names may be subject to reserved lists and validation rules enforced by the contract. Client-side checks can reject invalid input early, but the chain is the source of truth.
- Phone-number linking, if announced as “coming soon,” is not part of the live product until deployed and documented.
5. Blockchain & technology risks
You acknowledge and accept that:
- Blockchain transactions can be delayed, fail, or become costly if gas or fees change.
- Software bugs, RPC outages, wallet bugs, or network upgrades may affect availability or display of data.
- Losing access to your wallet / seed phrase means losing control of associated names and balances. We cannot recover them.
- Testnet assets have no monetary value; mainnet use (when available) involves real economic risk.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate law, infringe rights, or abuse others.
- Attempt unauthorized access to infrastructure, scrape in a way that degrades the Service, or interfere with other users.
- Misrepresent affiliation with SafHandle, Safrochain, or third-party wallets.
- Circumvent fee, ownership, or safety controls implemented by the contract or interface, except through legitimate on-chain governance where applicable.
7. Intellectual property
The SafHandle name, branding, and site design are owned by their respective holders. Smart contract and SDK source code may be available under open-source licenses published in their repositories - those licenses control reuse of that code.
You retain rights in content you submit, but you grant us a limited license to operate and improve the Service (for example displaying transaction status you initiate).
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that on-chain data displayed in the interface will always be complete or timely.
Nothing on the Service is investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating risks before interacting with the blockchain.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafHandle and Safrochain contributors, maintainers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or digital assets, arising from your use of the Service or on-chain interactions - even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us (if any) for using this web interface in the three months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (or local equivalent). On-chain contract fees paid to protocol / module wallets are not fees paid to us.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SafHandle / Safrochain operators and contributors from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your on-chain actions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Privacy
The interface is designed to minimize personal data collection. Wallet addresses and public on-chain activity are inherently public. Third parties (RPC providers, explorers, wallet extensions, CDNs, analytics if enabled) may process technical data according to their own policies.
Do not submit sensitive personal information through memos or forms unless necessary and lawful.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will change when material updates are published. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed via the Safrochain organization channels at safrochain.com or the GitHub organization Safrochain-Org.
